With 20 years of experience in investment sales, Carlos consistently creates value for his clients through his comprehensive knowledge and expertise.
Carlos has produced tremendous results in closing countless investment sales transactions with total sales in excess of one billion dollars. He has represented or closed transactions with some of the top developers and financial institutions and retailers in the business including: Macy’s, CIM Group, CJ Segerstrom & Sons, Related Companies of California, Nationwide Insurance, Principal Financial Group, AEGON Insurance, Zurich Alterative Asset Management, Family Dollar, Albertsons, and Nord Capital. Carlos has been a member of the Hanley Investment Group team for more than 9 years.
Carlos has been instrumental in selling high profile, unique buildings and developments such as: the historic TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman’s Chinese Theatre) in Hollywood; the Ralphs at Market Lofts in downtown Los Angeles; The Mercury Building at Wilshire & Western in Koreatown; the 64 Colorado Building, anchored by Tiffany & Co in Old Pasadena; and The Commons, anchored by Williams Sonoma, also in Pasadena.
Carlos graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance/Real Estate. He is active in the USC Lusk Real Estate Mentor Program and lectures regularly at USC and California State University, Fullerton on the topic of retail real estate investments. Carlos is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Urban Land Institute, and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
Carlos is a passionate and devoted USC Trojan football fan and has traveled extensively throughout the country to many great cities and states to follow the team. He also is a New York Yankees fan and schedules trips to New York City around the Yankees home schedule. Carlos is also an automobile racing fan and attends the Indianapolis 500 each year and enjoys traveling to dynamic urban cities, both internationally and in the U.S.
