Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors, a nationally recognized real estate brokerage and advisory firm specializing in retail property sales, announced today that the firm has raised $29,401 during its annual Movember campaign. This marks Hanley Investment Group’s 9th consecutive year growing a mustache in the month of November to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Hanley Investment Group has raised nearly $243,000 for the Movember Foundation since 2011.
“Helping to raise funds and awareness of the Movember Foundation is a great way for us to honor men, like my father, who died too young,” said Hanley Investment Group’s President Ed Hanley. “This is a cause that is very important to me and I am grateful for everyone at Hanley Investment Group that helped fundraise as well as all those from across the country who donated.”
The Movember Foundation is the leading charity dedicated to changing the face of men’s health in the U.S. and around the world. During Movember, men start Movember 1st clean-shaven and grow a mustache for the month, getting friends, family and colleagues to donate to their effort.
Hanley adds, “My dad died of prostate cancer and I don’t want other families and individuals to have to go through what we did. We want to help save lives and families with our fundraising efforts.” Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men in the U.S.
This year, like previous years, Hanley Investment Group’s fundraising efforts landed the firm in the top 1%, a ranking of #21 among thousands of teams throughout the U.S. Hanley Investment Group’s President Ed Hanley received the most donations in the company and was ranked #16 out of over 77,000 Mo’ Bros & Mo’ Sistas nationwide. Proceeds are directed to programs that are run by the Movember Foundation and the organization’s men’s health partners.
