Hanley Investment Group’s core values are inspired by the Navy SEAL code: a Warrior Creed. The Hanley Investment Group creed is a code of conduct and inspirational reminder of loyalty to our team, our clients, and being the best version of ourselves.
In keeping with the company creed, Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) John J Parma, a career Naval Special Warfare (NSW) SEAL officer with over 20 years of Special Operations duty assignments, gave an inspirational speech at a Hanley quarterly meeting. LCDR Parma’s speech reminded all of us to maintain our culture, remain true to ourselves and others, always strive to improve, and remain dedicated to the team.
LCDR Parma presented our team with a custom Navy paddle. The Navy paddle has been used for generations in the military as a symbol of teamwork. The symbolism of the paddle comes from the training endured by Navy SEALSs to achieve success in their mission as a team.
At Hanley Investment Group we pride ourselves on our teamwork and goal of relentless improvement. We are honored to have received this paddle as a daily reminder that the strength of an individual is magnified in a team environment.
LCDR Parma has served in SEAL, Special Boat, and Training Command tours within NSW. He has participated in multiple special operations throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, and Southwest Asia and is a highly decorated officer.

The Movember Foundation is a global charity raising funds and awareness for men’s health. Since 2003, Movember has funded over 1,250 projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity. Hanley Investment Group has raised a total of $368,039 for the Movember Foundation since 2011.
Westcoast Sports Associates is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving economically-disadvantaged children in Southern California the opportunity to participate in sports. WSA is comprised of a diverse cross-section of over 70 individuals drawn from both the business and sports communities who volunteer their time to help run the organization.
