An Executive Vice President at Hanley Investment Group, Carlos Lopez specializes in the sale of single-tenant NNN retail buildings and traditional shopping centers. In addition, Carlos has specialty and expertise in the sale of buildings in downtown districts, high-profile mixed-use buildings, and high-street urban retail properties. With nearly 30 years of experience in investment sales, Carlos consistently creates value for his clients through his comprehensive knowledge and expertise.

Carlos has represented and closed transactions with some of the top developers, financial institutions, and retailers in the business including: RH (formerly Restoration Hardware), Federal Realty Investment Trust, Macy’s Department Stores, CIM Group, ASB Real Estate Investments, CJ Segerstrom & Sons, Related California, Nationwide Insurance, Principal Financial Group, Aegon (Transamerica), Zurich Alternative Asset Management, Family Dollar, Albertsons, and Nord Capital.

Carlos has been instrumental in selling numerous high-profile, unique buildings and developments throughout the country such as: The historic TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman’s Chinese Theatre) in Hollywood; the Ralphs at Market Lofts in Downtown Los Angeles; The Mercury Building at Wilshire & Western in Koreatown; The 64 Colorado Building, anchored by Tiffany & Co in Old Pasadena; The Commons, anchored by Williams Sonoma, also in Pasadena; the RH Flagship Galleries in Yountville, California and Edina, Minnesota.

Carlos graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance/Real Estate. He is active in the USC Lusk Real Estate and has lectured at both USC and California State University, Fullerton on the topic of retail real estate investments. Carlos is an active member of ICSC (Innovating Commerce Serving Communities) and Urban Land Institute and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

Carlos is a passionate USC Trojan football fan and has traveled extensively throughout the country to many great cities and states to follow the team. He also is a devoted New York Yankees fan and during the spring, summer, and fall, schedules trips to New York City around the Yankees’ home schedule. Carlos is also a lifelong auto racing enthusiast and attends the Indianapolis 500 each year as well as various other races throughout the racing season, allowing him to enjoy his traveling to dynamic urban cities, both internationally and in the U.S.
