Like you, I’ve been shocked at the speed of change over the last month. Overall, though, I do NOT feel panic. We’ve been through many shocking events before and, for me, this will be my fourth recession in the commercial real estate business. In comparison, this seems relatively controlled in light of war, terrorism and market collapse. We know exactly what the problem is, we know there is a solution, and we know what steps to take to mitigate the severity of the problem until the solution arrives. Our industry will come together to answer some difficult questions regarding the situation.
